First Thursday with Jaux

Here’s our own Joe J. with Jack Petruzzelli, keyboard & guitar player for The Fab Faux, who shot the breeze back stage after their recent performance at The Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jaux also announced his appearance in The BBC Chat Room, TONIGHT, November 1st at 7 PM Eastern Time.  He said, “EVERYONE’S INVITED” - just go to BrunchRadio.com, click on the Home Page LIVE CHAT Banner and stop by to say hello or just check out the action. What if The Fab Faux takes him up on the offer?  Drop in and see!

Things He Said Today

By Joe Johnson

Welcome to November Brunchers!  Hard to believe that this year is almost over, and in just over a month, we’ll be spotlighting The Beatles Christmas Messages and songs.  Hope you enjoyed the Christmas message outtake that we featured on last Sunday’s Beatle Brunch, unearthed from the George Martin documentary, “Produced By George Martin”. There’s a plethora of Beatle releases for the holiday season to stuff your stocking, including the Sir George DVD and you’ll pucker up for  some “Love Kisses” from Sir Paul. We featured and gave away the remastered Magical Mystery Tour DVD which contains hours of bonus features including a very hoarse Paul narrating the Director’s track.  As I said in my last column, while the movie may not have been an award winner, it’s great to see and hear The Boys acting in their individual scenes and all together now and for eternity, that is until the NEXT way of watching and listening to our favorite music and films comes about, maybe we’ll insert an Obble into your finger Fobble and click to see each scene.

This year also marks the first time in Beatle history that Ringo Starr and George Harrison are worth more than Paul and John.  How’s that you say?  It adds up if you spell their names across the board in the new Scrabble: Beatles Edition. We’ve just received a shipment of the new games to award as our Mind Games prize for a spell - get it?  And you can’t write a book if you can’t spell, (though Spell Check has changed all that), we just got The Lennon Letters, which contains some interesting revelations like unfinished song lyrics written by John circa 1965.

Speaking of spelling, here in my hometown Ft Lauderdale, I had an amazing time with The Fab Faux last Saturday night, October 27th, when they returned to South Florida for their 5th year in a row, playing for an auditorium full of passionate Beatle fans who LOVE LOVE LOVE Beatles songs done note perfect and true to the original record. Will Lee and The Boys really ramped up their accuracy this year when they honored Magical Mystery Tour’s re-release by playing the songs from the album in order.  Hope you dig the pic of me and Jack Petruzzelli after the show. Jack’s incredible rendition of “Oh! Darling” brought the house down. We’ve posted his version in The Beatle Brunch Club Downloads Audio, and while you’re online, go ahead and “like”  “TheFabFauxFL” on Facebook.

Hey, got any Grey Poupon?  Keep it, and instead send me some show ideas I can spread out over the new year. Listening to the “Old Brown Shows” we’ve loaded on The BBC, has given me some new ideas too, and I’d love to hear yours. You can post them in the Fab Forum or if you’re not a member (and I don’t know why YOU'RE NOT), you can post them on The Message Board in The Buzz found at BrunchRadio.com.

Well, that’s about all, I think. I’d love to respond to each of you personally but I haven’t enough pens (thank you John for that one).  Happy Holidays Beatle Buddies. I’ll see you on the radio.

Frost on Paul

Paul tells David Frost, "I don't think you can blame Yoko for anything". When she came along, part of her attraction was her avant-garde view of things, so she showed him another way to be, which was very attractive to him, so it was time for John to leave, he was definitely going to leave with or without her.” In 1964 Paul interviewed with Frost and they discussed songwriting, the Beatles ambitions, and their upcoming movie, A Hard Day's Night. Now they have a twirl at the on-going controversy – Did Yoko break up The Beatles?  Tony Bramwell believes it. He vehemently insists that Yoko broke up The Beatles and he proudly wears a certain T-shirt (see it on BrunchRadio.com SPOTLIGHT). Get Paul’s full story on BrunchRadio.com - The Latest In Beatles News.

John's Unfinished Lyrics

Highlighted in The Latest In Beatles News on BrunchRadio.com, now out in hardcover limited quantities is a new book, "The John Lennon Letters" featuring personal notes that John wrote over the years. Joe J. uncovered an interesting excerpt; lyrics from one of John’s obscure love songs.  We enlarged the page of handwritten lyrics and transcribed the lines on BBC Articles so members can imagine if Paul will be inspired to create his MaccaMagic and set them to a melody.

John's Unfinished Melody

"Now and Then" (written around the same time as "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love"), is the name given to an unreleased composition by John Lennon, first recorded in demo form in 1978 and was considered in 1995 as a third possible reunion single by The Beatles for their 1995 The Beatles Anthology.

In January 1994, Yoko gave Paul two tape cassettes by Lennon that included home recordings of songs he never completed or released commercially. The songs on the tape included two other songs which included "Grow Old With Me" and "Now and Then".

If you’re a BBC Member you can read the full Article then go to BBC Downloads Video and check out the video, “Now And Then.”

A Day in November
Those who attended the game at Lambeau Field Green Bay said it was extremely emotional to see the entire bowl of the stadium turn Red, White and Blue. It took 90 workers two weeks to mount the properly colored card under each seat with not one out of place to create this rousing display honoring Veteran’s Day..
