A Blast From the Past?
Y Not?
The flash forward is Ringos first job as producer on an
album (his last five studio CDs were produced by former Roundheads
bandmate Mark Hudson, who also had a one song production credit
on Ringos last album, Liverpool 8.
The Blast from the Past is most notably the appearance of Beatle
Paul on two of the tracks. Macca plays bass on the Lennon influenced,
Peace Dream and then famously sings background on
the first single, Walk With You.

It Was 30 Years Ago
Today

Maccas ordeal began on the 16th of January when Paul, his
family and the three other members of Wings arrived at Narita
International Airport where customs inspectors quickly found nearly
eight ounces of what Paul had described as dynamite weed
(with a Japanese street value of ¥600,000) barely hidden in
one of Maccas suitcases and in the hood of eight-year-old
Stellas coat. Read

One, Two, Three, Four,
Can I Have a Little More?
Heat Vision reports that Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox
Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell are in talks to play
The Beatles in the film. In the 3D performance capture film, Kelly
(BBC's "Robin Hood") is portraying John Lennon, Serafinowicz
plays Paul McCartney, Elwes (A Christmas Carol), is George Harrison,
and Campbell will be Ringo Starr, or so we believe. The 1968 animated
feature was based on the music of The Beatles and featured the
inspired art direction and design of Heinz Edelmann. The movie
is set in Pepperland, an undersea paradise inhabited by music
lovers who live in peace and harmony and are protected by Sgt.
Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. That is... until they are threatened
by the music-hating Blue Meanies. It's up to John, Paul, George
and Ringo to set off on a magical adventure in their yellow submarine
and bring music and harmony back to Pepperland, which of course
they do.
